Disability
Disabilities come in lots of different forms, including not being able to walk, move, see or hear as well as others, having difficulty reading or not knowing how to act with other people.
Children with a disability may need extra help to do things. They may need special equipment, or buildings to be designed differently to allow them to get into them and so on. If you have a disability or think that you have a disability and are not being given the things or help you need, please speak to your social worker, advocate, or carer.
If you are not being given the same chances as everybody else this is “discrimination”. There are laws that make it illegal to discriminate against people with a disability, and you have a right to have the same chances in life as others. If you feel that you are being discriminated against, you can complain about this. You should talk to your social worker, advocate or carer.
