Nurse for Children who are "looked after"
There is a small team of nurses in Hertfordshire whose job it is to help young people and children who are looked after. They are the ‘Community Nurses’ and can help you and your carers with all sorts of health advice and will do their best to answer any questions you may have. They are not just there for when you are ill, your carer might take you to see a GP, a doctor in your local surgery, when you are ill. The Community Nurses are there as a contact for you at any time to answer any questions about health that you are unclear about or worried about. They can also help you with your emotional needs or answer questions about sexual health.
