Health Checks

When you first come into care you will be asked to see a Doctor and this is for your initial health assessment.  It is not a medical and you will not be asked to get undressed or examined.  The Doctor will ask questions about any illnesses you have had in the past and will talk to you about your general health.

After that, if you are over 5 years of age, you will be asked to take part in similar health checks every year.  This is called  your review health assessment and this time you will see a nurse.  You can have a chat with the nurse, this is an opportunity for you to have time with someone who is experienced in many areas and, depending on your age, you may wish to ask about different areas of your life, such as relationships or body changes.
