Getting Involved

Children, Schools and Families is committed to the idea that children and young people in care should have the same opportunities to get involved with extra curricular activities as all other young people.

They commission a number of projects aimed at supporting Children Looked After and their learning needs.  On-going supported learning projects specifically aimed at Children Looked After are running at the two Hertfordshire based Playing for Success Centres at Watford Learning Centre and LearnIT at Hitchin Town Football Club.
They also have links with Youth Connexions, who run project based activities for young people.  You can find out from your social worker about what projects are planned for the forthcoming year.
