Children Schools and Families

In April 2001 the Education Service joined together with the Children and Families teams of Social Services and formed the “Children, Schools and Families Service”.  In this new service, teachers still teach in schools and social workers still do the same things they used to, they just work for the same service rather than two different ones.

The reason that they joined together was because they thought it would be better for children and their families if they were all working together in one service.
