Corporate Parenting Officer

The County Council employs a person called a “Corporate Parenting Officer” who is employed to make sure that you are getting the very best education possible and offered every opportunity to learn and to achieve. The Corporate Parenting Officer manages the Advisory Teachers who are part of the education support service for children looked after and care leavers. Once you are in care we want you to do the very best in your education that you can.  Having a good education and achieving well will open many doors for you.  You will be able to go to college and study further or get a better job. This is important to you in the future as good prospects will make life easier for you to live independently. If there are things that we could do more to support your learning in or outside school please let your advisory teacher or your Corporate Parenting Officer know.
