Contact Order
If you are on a Care Order and the court has made a decision that you cannot see your parents, you can apply to the court for a “Contact Order” that will let you see them.
If you are in care and are unhappy about how contact is planned for you and either of your parents, you could also apply for a “Contact Order” to see them more often or less often.
You will need lots of support in going to court and should ask your social worker or advocate for their help.
Children Schools and Families has a duty to promote contact between children and young people looked after and their parents brothers sisters and important family members unless this will not be best for them.
