County Council

Hertfordshire County Council is what is called “Local Government”.  It is responsible for running all sorts of things like libraries, rubbish collection, council housing, schools, looking after the environment and so on.  The people who make the decisions about all of these things are called Councillors and are chosen by the adults in Hertfordshire who vote for them.  Hertfordshire County Council is responsible for Children Schools and Families.
