Clothing money and other allowances
When you are being looked after by Children, Schools and Families in a Children’s Home or a foster family, everything you need, from new shoes, toiletries, dinner money, and clothes will be provided for you. Money is paid to foster carers and money provided in Children’s Homes for clothes for you. You can ask your carers how much money there is for you to spend on clothes. Obviously you may not always agree with your carers about how you should spend this money, but then adults and young people often disagree about what clothes are best to buy and wear. If you and your carers are able to talk about your different ideas you are likely to come to a reasonable agreement.
